History of the District Court

Our last Court docket in the Capitol Building was February 16, 2018 which ended a more than quarter century of modern day court dockets being held in the Capitol Building after our District Court was re-established by the Tribal Council in November of 1990.  Although it is with some sadness that we have left this beloved building to relocate the Court, it is exciting to know that the Capitol Building will be returned to its much needed pristine condition and preserved for the education and enjoyment of all tribal members and visitors to the building.  The Capitol Building served the Court well over for 27 years; however, with the growth of the Court over the years, it became increasingly necessary for the Courts to seek an alternate location.  The Nation has graciously provided the Court with a new facility featuring modern state of the art equipment that we are also excited to move into and hold Court in.
